From today you can see a new permanent exhibition dedicated to the inhabitants of the World Ocean in the Natural History Museum of Burgas. The opening of the exhibition is specially dedicated to the International Earth Day on April 22.
The exhibition is designed to present the great biodiversity in the seas and oceans and emphasizes the detrimental impact on the nature of human activity. The main threat to marine life that the museum focuses on is the pollution of the world's oceans with human life waste and especially plastic.
Scientists around the world are convinced that if this pollution continues at the same rate, in 30 years there will be more waste in the oceans than living organisms. In order for marine life not to become just a museum piece, it is necessary for people to change some of their daily habits and, above all, to reduce the use of plastic products.
The working hours of the Natural History Museum on K. Fotinov ”30, is from Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 to 17:00 and Sunday from 9:00 to 14:00.
