Construction of new healing pools with mud and lye near Sarafovo - Burgas

From the summer of 2019 access to the mud baths near Sarafovo - Burgas will be paid. This year a global reconstruction will take place in the region: wooden floors and approaches will be replaced, new stairways and paths will be built. Because of the extremely salty and aggressive environment near the Atanasovsko Lake, the wooden structures were in a very bad condition and the access to some of the lye and mud pools was limited or totally impossible. It is expected that the reconstruction will change the appearance of the entire territory, which, in turn, will make access for tourists and all those who want to use the healing properties of mud and salt, even easier and safer. Completion of the reconstruction is scheduled for mid-June. In addition to improving access to the pools, new paths and staircases will be built - changing rooms, shower rooms and other amenities for visitors.
An entry fee is being discussed, but it is assumed that the fee will be quite symbolic. At present the amount of the fee is discussed to be at no more than 2 levs (about 1 euro).
