A project to build a "Seaside Garden" park in Sarafovo has been launched

Burgas Municipality has approved the project for the construction of a park near the beach in the Sarafovo district. Sarafovo is a promising, growing district of Burgas, preferred by many families with children due to its proximity to the city center, peaceful atmosphere, good infrastructure and low-rise construction. The rapid growth of the district and its residents creates the need for a park that will become a favorite place for recreation, walks and sports.

The area of ​​the future Sea Garden in Sarafovo will be about 140 acres. The park will be located between the seashore and the residential part of the district.

The project is divided into three stages, with work currently underway on the implementation of the first. It covers the central and western parts of the terrain. Alleys, a playground and recreation areas will be built there.

The natural elevation of the terrain will be preserved, the various alleys in the park will have different purposes and the function of strengthening the terrain from landslides. The project envisages a panoramic view of the sea from all parts of the park, there will be many benches, places for entertainment, sports and recreation. Additional access will be built from different points to the residential part of Sarafovo, staircases with wide steps will ensure smooth overcoming of the different heights in the new park.

All alleys will be built with pavements that do not allow rainwater to infiltrate into the soil, but lead it superficially to linear drains located along the coastal promenade near an existing rain collector.

The color scheme and texture of the pavements are selected in accordance with the natural characteristics of the areas in which they are located. The main coastal promenade will be a natural continuation of the pedestrian route from Sarafovo. It will provide movement along the entire length of the terrain with convenient connections between the neighborhood and the beach.

Emphasis is placed on the development, repair and completion of a modern bicycle path, which will be a modernized continuation of the bicycle route from Burgas. It will be separated from the main pedestrian path in two ways – through landscaping and through a difference in height. At the places where it will cross pedestrian routes, markings will be laid with white limestone paving stones embedded in the pavement. This will serve both as a visual distinction and to slow down bicycle traffic.

A children's area will also be built within the first stage of the project, which will be divided into 6 parts. The facilities in it will be grouped thematically, with one of them being constructed so that it can be used safely by children with motor difficulties. The park itself is designed to provide an accessible environment for all visitors.
